How to Unlock Different Colors
Each color in the game can be unlocked in the same way for every character; all you need to do is fulfill the prerequisite. While Color 6 and Color 7 unlocks for everyone at the same time, Color 5 unlocks one team at a time, and Color 8 unlocks one character at a time. Here are the details!
Colors 1-4 are available from the start with every version of Tokon.Color 5 is unlocked for an entire team when you finish their episode mode. For instance, completing the Amazing Guardians’ story will unlock color 5 for Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord, and Peni Parker.Color 6 is unlocked by completing 10 casual matches online. You don’t have to win; you just have to fight in ten of them! This is at the same time you’ll unlock ranked matches and the Let’s Take It Easy Trophy. This unlocks Color 6 for everyone, not just the characters you were playing those matches as.Color 7 is unlocked by completing 100 KOs in Survival Mode. This unlocks it for everyone, not just the characters you’re playing as! Congrats to u/plotylty on Reddit for finding this first!
Getting 100 KOs in survival mode can be really hard! Here’s a trick!
Since you can save your progress every five levels, and it only deletes your save when you lose, make sure to quit out of a battle if your health gets low! That way you can restart from your last save instead of all the way at the beginning!
Color 8 is unlocked per character as you complete their Action Check tasks and their Combo Trials in the Character Lesson section. You don’t have to complete the Level-Up Missions!Color 9 is only available in the Ultimate Edition DLC, and neither DLC costumes nor the Secret Character have a Color 9.
Currently Costumes are paid DLC only. It’s unsaid whether or not there will be free-to-acquire costumes in the future.
