Recently overclocked my cpu (ryzen7 3700x) to play a (relatively) hardware-intensive game. Last night though, my pc suddenly crashed, no no qr-code no error code or anything, just a message stating “an error has occurred” for a quarter-second until it completely shut off.
Tonight’s been filled with the standard procedures: ram check, shorting BAT1, a cpu pin check, etc. with no luck, either showing me a CPU or DRAM light. Finally got it working after removing the coincell battery and spamming the power button.
Any ideas what caused this to happen? The PC’s been overclocked for weeks at this point, was it just a perfect storm? Recently just put in a third monitor but I can’t imagine that’s it.
