Been running Kanaliiga (Finnish company-team CS league, 18 seasons) for years, and the one thing that never stops being a problem: there's no open, ongoing league that takes skill-based matchmaking seriously enough that a low-division team has as much reason to show up on a Tuesday as a top team does. FACEIT's great for individual stats but doesn't help you find or keep a team. Most open tournaments produce one-sided stomps. Closed/company leagues aren't open to you unless you already work somewhere with a team.

So we're opening that same operational model to everyone, not just company teams:

  • 14 teams per division, split into two groups
  • Top half plays a double-elimination bracket
  • Bottom half plays a parallel relegation group, so nobody's season just ends after three weeks
  • No age, school, or company restrictions

Heads up if you're outside Finland: Season 1 is Finland-only. We'd rather start focused and actually get it right than overpromise a global launch on day one. International expansion, starting with Sweden, is the plan once Season 1 proves out, realistically Season 2 or 3.

Not selling anything. Registration is interest-only and free until we confirm it's happening (real floor: 56 teams). Mostly curious whether this format is missing for people outside Finland too, since that's genuinely what shapes where we expand next. Happy to answer anything about the format itself.
