The AGEM Index rose by 167.62 points to 1,874.77 in July, a 9.8 percent increase from the prior month. Compared to one year ago, the Index declined by 0.8 percent or 15.00 points.
During the latest month, five of the nine AGEM Index companies reported stock price increases, which resulted in six positive contributions and three negative contributions.
The largest positive contributor was Konami Corp., whose 16.8 percent increase in stock price led to a 108.32-point gain. Aristocrat Leisure Limited’s stock price increased by 4.6 percent, leading to a 49.60-point increase.

The largest negative contributor to the index was Inspired Entertainment, Inc., whose 16.6 percent decrease in stock price resulted in a 0.91-point loss to the AGEM Index.
In July, two of the three major U.S. stock indices decreased from the prior month. The NASDAQ fell by 3.2 percent and the S&P 500 experienced a 0.1 percent loss. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones Industrial Average improved by 0.3 percent.
