This is my fourth 3D printed computer case but my 15th case mod over the last 18 years. This projects goal was to make a ceiling mounted case while also trying to do something with motors (in this case, the propellers). With the airship being a brown aesthetic I was very adamant on getting Noctua fans as they matched the colors perfectly (and having a silent pc case was a bonus).
I made a wooden Final Fantasy airship case a long time ago (as seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cz5muWnFMmg ) but it would not of been practical to mount it to the ceiling due to weight but with 3D printing it finally became an option! It took about 7 rolls of plastic on my Voron 3D printers and about 3 weeks of designing on/off in Tinkercad and a few weeks of printing. The ? block turns the propellers on and off.
I actually made this about 18 months ago but finally got around to posting it online. I went mid range with the pc components because that's what was in my price range. Noctua were very great to work with and did send me the fans used in this mod.
The build is mid range (its what I could afford) and as I wasn't able to get much sponsorship for this (you pretty much need to be a streamer with decent numbers). Streaming and posting all the time isn't my style so its unfortunate for me. Noctua were amazing though and they provided the fans. I would of used the fans anyway as it goes perfect with the aesthetic!
