I could really use some advice. I have two monitors: a 34” ultrawide and a 24”.
I’m a software developer and also a gamer. When I’m coding, I use the ultrawide, but when I play games I always use the 24” monitor. The problem is that I’d really like the 24” to be in the center while gaming.
I recently bought a monitor arm for the 24”, so now I can move it around. At the same time, I’ve realized that coding with the ultrawide pushed off to the side isn’t very comfortable either.
I’m thinking about having two “modes”:
Coding mode: the ultrawide in the center.
Gaming mode: the 24” in the center.
Now that I have the monitor arm, I’m thinking about moving the 24” to the right side when I’m coding and sliding it into the center when I game. The ultrawide would stay closer to the middle.
Do you think that’s the best setup, or do you have a better idea?
Also, what would you do with the visible cables? Cable management is definitely the weakest part of my setup right now.
