I was in the comments of the recent post about “Panam never uses contractions” and I said I swore I saw something about more formal speech patterns of Nomads in the sourcebook. I thought I didn’t have any other books it could have come from. Turns out I was wrong, I have The World of Cyberpunk 2077 and it’s from that!!
So you might not put much value in it depending on how much of a purist you are about the lore which is cool. But I think both sides were right – they do use LESS contractions as a result of the stuff described above but they do NOT use none, that’s not stated anywhere anyone can find. Panam’s speech patterns were a choice. Neat! Again, that is CDPR though, and as much as Mike approves of their choices, I know it’s not the same as if it came from Mike himself.
