Xbox officially announced Backward Compatibility on PC, bringing console titles to PC and handhelds, including ROG XBOX Ally and XBOX Ally X, with enhanced gameplay. The project launched in early release with four classic original Xbox games, and more are on the way.

The initiative is a first step of a broader effort to preserve classic Xbox games and introduce them to the PC audience. “Your library is more than just a collection of games. It is your personal history of epic stories and treasured memories from the past,” says Jason Ronald, VP of Next Generation at Xbox.

Additionally, the games brought to PC will not only preserve original gameplay but also feature enhancements – customizable graphics settings with up to 4x resolution upscaling, VSync support, Fullscreen and Windowed display modes, anisotropic filtering, enhanced anti-aliasing, and more, alongside customizable language and audio settings.
