I’m about to delid my i5-7600K and would like some advice before I do it to avoid any mistakes.
Current overclock:
i5-7600K
5.6 GHz all-core
1.325 V BIOS (up to ~1.350 V under load with LLC Level 5)
Stress test temperatures: 75–80 °C
The main reason I’m doing the delid is to reduce temperatures (I’ll be using liquid metal).
Assuming the delid drops temperatures by around 10–20 °C, do you think 6.0 GHz is a realistic goal on this CPU, or is silicon quality likely to be the limiting factor rather than temperature?
Also, if you’ve delidded a 7600K before, is there anything you wish you had known beforehand?
