After the controversial offseason that saw T1’s former ADC Gumayusi transfer to Hanwha Life Esports, the organization took home the 2026 MSI Championship, defeating BiliBili in a tight five-game series, putting an end to BiliBili’s undefeatable season after the organization placed first in both the 2026 LPL Splits and First Stand.
With the year BiliBili had in their home region, and after going through the winners’ bracket, many people expected them to take the entire tournament. Especially after defeating Hanwha 3-1 in the Upper Bracket Final, however, in typical esports fashion. You can never truly predict the outcomes, and this year’s MSI has thrown another curveball at fans.

MSI Champions
When the news that Gumayusi left T1 broke, many people didn’t believe that he had what it took to gain international success and often framed his success as just being Faker’s teammate. This win at MSI gives him his first international trophy without being on a team with Faker, proving those who doubted him entirely wrong.
Finals MVP went to Zeus, another former T1 player who was part of the legendary “ZOFGK” roster; however, he departed a year before Gumayusi.
With an MSI win under their belt, Hanwha Life have punched their ticket to the World Championship, set to take place later this year. A stage that the roster is well built for, with veteran experience from all players and a few World Championship winners, with the help of Zeka, Gumayusi and Zeus.
