I logged into CS2 today and got this notification:
I've probably reported around 100 blatant cheaters so far this year, and this is the first time I've ever seen this message. Is this an overwatch ban?
Has anyone else started getting these since the latest update? Is this notification new, or has it always existed and I just never had a reported player banned?
Also, does this mean Valve has started a larger ban wave, or is this just business as usual? I know Valve doesn't usually comment on anti-cheat enforcement, so I'm curious if others are seeing the same thing following the recent update.
One other question: is there any way to figure out which player from my match history was banned? I know Steam doesn't typically identify the specific account that triggered the notification, but I'm wondering if there's a third-party site or method that can correlate bans with your previous matches.
Curious if anyone else has seen this pop up recently.
