Lake Metroparks announced that Nature Game Day is set to take place noon to 4 p.m. July 18 at Penitentiary Glen Reservation in Kirtland, providing family-friendly fun with trivia, obstacle courses and nature-themed challenges and brain busters.
“Nature Game Day combines the excitement of classic game shows with the wonder of the natural world,” Lake Metroparks Interpretive Naturalist Tony Gazso stated in a news release. “Whether you’re testing your wildlife knowledge, tackling a challenge as a family or cheering on the competition, it’s a great time.”
This year’s featured game is Family Nature Dare, a nature-inspired twist on a classic game show that puts participating families to the test through hands-on challenges, teamwork and plenty of surprises, the release stated.
Visitors can also enjoy a special edition of the Metroparks’ Trivia Night at the Glen program, see how their animal ambassadors get in on the fun, and take part in a variety of other fast-paced games and activities.
Miniature train rides will also be available courtesy of the Lake Shore Live Steamers, weather permitting.
Admission is free and no registration is required. For details, visit goto.lakemetroparks.com/nature-game-day.
