Hey everyone,
I wanted to share my daily stable DDR5 results and to see if the community has any advice for the next step. I'm currently running a 64GB (2x32GB) dual rank Hynix A kit (CMH64GX5M2B6000Z30) on an MSI MAG X870E Tomahawk with a Ryzen 7 9850X3D.
A quick note on SCLs for this kit. I actually found that tRDRDSCL and tWRWRSCL performed noticeably better at 6 rather than aggressively dropping them down to 4.
I have some questions I would love to ask the experienced overclockers.
First, is there any performance left on the table here? Looking at my ZenTimings, are there any specific secondary or tertiary timings I should tighten further that I might have missed? (tRFC gave errors lower than 400 or failed boot)
Second, pushing to 6200/6400. I want to push this dual rank kit to 6200 or 6400 MT/s while trying to maintain these same tight timings. Heat is absolutely not a factor. I have a new, heavily overbuilt fan setup, so thermals and voltages are not an issue. What specific voltage bumps (VDD, VSOC, VDDP) or timing adjustments would you recommend to get a heavy 64GB dual rank kit stable at 6400 1:1? I got frustrated trying different VSOC and VDD. It booted but error on TM5. (I only went to 1.20 VSOC so far)
I have a custom fan setup, with how tight everything is in my case. This was the most effective positioning.
Am I stuck with what I have now for peak daily performance? Or is there another approach I could take?
Thanks everyone.
