Fans have been excited for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced ever since the remake was first announced. The updated version of the 2013 game, labeled “Gaming’s worst-kept secret” by Ubisoft, is set to offer better visuals, refined gameplay mechanics, and new story content. And if you’ve been waiting to get your hands on it, you’ll be glad to learn that the wait will soon be over.

We learned earlier this year that the game will run on Steam Deck and has “dedicated handheld presets” for gamers hoping to play on the go. As far as PC system requirements go, there’s nothing too crazy as far as recommendations go. For 1080p at 60 FPS, players are expected to have an RTX 3060 and a 10th-gen Intel i5 processor, or equivalent.

When does Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced launch today on PC?

Ubisoft says Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will release today, on July 9, at 7 AM Pacific Time for PC players. However, due to time zone differences, the release time will be different for everyone, depending on where you live.

Los Angeles – 7 AM PST

New York – 10 AM EDT

London – 3 PM BST

Berlin – 4 PM CEST

Mumbai – 7:30 PM IST

Tokyo – 11 PM JST

Sydney – 12 AM AEST (July 10)

Auckland – 2 AM NZST (July 10)

We’ve also added a countdown clock below, tracking the exact time the game is due to release on PC, down to the second. Keep in mind that once the timer expires, it will disappear – so if you don’t see one, the game is already out.

What about console players?

For console players, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is set to release on July 9 at 12 AM local time in whichever time zone you are in. This means the game unlocks at midnight for each region individually, rather than launching worldwide at the same moment.

As a result, much of the world will already have access (at the time of writing), so feel free to jump in on your PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S if the calendar says July 9 where you are.

What does AC Black Flag Resynced offer?

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is more than a simple visual remaster. Ubisoft describes it as a “resynced” experience, bringing back the original 2013 pirate adventure with new features, gameplay improvements, and additional story content.

The game is set in the Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy and follows Edward Kenway, a Welsh privateer who becomes caught in the conflict between the Assassins and Templars. While searching for the mysterious Observatory, Edward must face the consequences of his greed and find a path toward redemption.

One of the biggest improvements is the updated combat system. Players can break enemy defenses with Perfect Parries, perform Hidden Blade takedowns, chain attacks between multiple enemies, and use tools such as the Rope Dart and Smoke Bombs for more strategic encounters.

The game also expands stealth options, allowing Edward to crouch anywhere, move more quietly, and use social stealth mechanics such as blending into crowds, hiring NPC distractions, and hiding in classic spots like haystacks and closets.

Movement has also been improved with advanced parkour, including manual jumps and new ziplines for faster travel. On the seas, naval combat has received upgrades through new Jackdaw officer perks, such as enhanced ramming attacks, stronger defensive bracing, and powerful mortar abilities.
