Why we like the Asus ROG GM700
A top gaming CPU
The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is the best CPU for gaming, without doubt. And its selection in this system says all you need to know about what this PC wants to achieve. With gaming and single-core workloads, this is the processor you want. It’s better than the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, and it can even be overclocked (if that’s what you want).
Rasterization GPU power
The RX 9070 XT may not be available near its MSRP, but in a gaming system, it guarantees speedy 4K frame rates with pure rasterization power, support for AMD’s FSR 4 upscaling tech, and 16GB of VRAM. The last of those is useful if you’re keen on streaming, recording, or just having more flexibility for higher resolutions.
Style in abundance
The specs of the GM700 support the headline components with a capacious 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD and 32GB of DDR5. But beyond the parts, this is an impressive system to behold. Transparent front and side panels allow easy viewing of the interior, illuminated by Aura Sync RGB. And the tool-less access makes opening the case easier, too.
What to consider before you buy
The Asus ROG GM700 has the specs to deliver excellent 4K gaming, including the best gaming CPU pick and one of the best graphics cards for gaming. If gaming is your focus, then you shouldn’t have any issues unless you want to make the most of Nvidia’s DLSS and upscaling features.
There’s also an argument for an Nvidia GPU if you’re a keen content creator or streamer requiring the best broadcasting and encoding performance – even though the RX 9070 XT can certainly handle both. Having said that, if you’re upgrading from an older gaming rig, then you’ll notice the difference/ And the price drop is a sweetener.
