With no big announcement during Pride Month, all has been quiet on the Secret Lair front recently. That all changed today, however, as Wizards of the Coast announced the “Their Magic Is Limitless” drop. Supporting the Global Fund for Women, Wizards has developed a fantastic new charity drop that’s got some insane reprints too.

In total, the Their Magic Is Limitless drop offers seven cards that have some serious value potential. In total, the drop, which is priced at $39.99 or $49.99, contains around $78 in raw reprint value. Out of this, Finale of Devastation accounts for over half, since it alone will set you back $51.

Considering the gorgeous new art on this variant, in theory, this Secret Lair printing could be even more valuable. That being said, this Secret Lair drop is print-to-demand, since it’s for charity. Due to this, if enough copies of Their Magic Is Limitless are sold, then the price could actually take a significant hit.

While prices do fall off sharply after Finale of Devastation, Coat of Arms isn’t a bad reprint at all. Selling for around $16, this card is an auto-include within any typal deck, and past Secret Lair variants have sold for a nice premium, too. The same is also true for Secret Lair printings of Dark Ritual, which is the last decent reprint in this drop.

At worst, Dark Ritual tends to sell for around $6, but Secret Lair printings are usually closer to $10. With how good the new art on this variant looks, especially compared to Garfield, this could easily sell for even more.

Delightful Duds

Sadly, as is usually the case, every card in this Secret Lair drop isn’t a winner from a value perspective. Lathril, Blade of the Elves, for instance, is only worth about $1.50, but it is a Commander staple. As one of the most powerful Elf Typal Commanders, there’s bound to be tons of demand for this variant.

Similarly, while it has been reprinted into the ground, good-looking Sol Rings can go for a pretty penny. Currently, it’s unclear where the final resting price for any of these cards will be, but the art is undeniably fantastic. The same is also true for the reprint of Cultivate, which features some of the most adorable art I’ve seen in a long time.

Rounding out this drop, Path of Ancestry offers pretty dismal value, but, once again, this card is a true Commander staple. Thanks to this, this card, along with many others in the drop, may end up selling for more than expected. Even with that in mind, however, the drop being print-to-demand does throw a wrench in things.

All in all, even if the raw reprint value duds don’t end up selling for more, the Their Magic Is Limitless drop is still a slam dunk. Not only does it have gorgeous art and fantastic reprints, but it also supports a good cause. With the Global Fund for Women supporting “grassroots gender justice organizations around the world,” this charity drop couldn’t have come at a better time.
