While the Miami Dolphins made several key changes to their front office, coaching staff and roster over the last few months, the most impactful move may have been replacing Tua Tagovailoa with Malik Willis on a three-year, $67.5 million deal.
Willis struggled during his first stop in the league with the Tennessee Titans, but he found some success in limited opportunities with the Green Bay Packers over the last two seasons.

Miami’s new quarterback has only participated in organized team activities and minicamp so far, but he’s already impressing some of his weapons, including rookie wideout Caleb Douglas.
“Once I got to meet him, I was like, ‘he’s going to win us some games for sure’. He’s legit… he goes in the huddle and speaks so confidently,” Douglas said on “The Dive Bar” podcast.
Douglas is expected to be one of Miami’s top wide receivers in 2026 despite playing in his first professional games. If he and Willis can get on the right page early on in training camp and into the regular season, they’ll set themselves up for success this year and beyond.
