A new set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges arrives this Friday, June 26, as your console clock rolls past midnight. There are five events to clear over the next seven days, with bonus reward tickets stacking up as you work through them.

If you’re new to the format, Weekly Challenges unlock once you’ve finished the GT Cafe career through Menu Book 39 and sat through the ending movie.

Every set is built from four World Circuits races and a single Special Event, with reward tickets handed out at the one, three, and five-event marks. Those tickets drop into your Gifts, and they need to be redeemed before the set expires. All told, a typical week comes to somewhere in the region of 1.3m credits once the prizes are factored in.

This Week’s Highlights

The Special Event takes the headline slot, as it usually does, and this week it’s a Time Trial.

The venue is Blue Moon Bay Speedway’s Infield A Reverse layout, and the car is the Maserati GranTurismo S ’08. The lap is a short one (most drivers should be coming in under 50 seconds), so it doesn’t take long to learn the rhythm of the circuit and start stringing together competitive laps. All three medals pay out, from 12,000cr at bronze up to 30,000cr for gold.

The biggest purse of the week sits at the bottom of the list. The World Touring Car 700 at the Red Bull Ring runs 10 laps for 115,000cr, capped at ≤700PP on racing tires. What turns it from a straightforward sprint into the most interesting event of the set is the fuel and tire load: 10x fuel consumption and 7x tire wear. You’ll need to keep an eye on both and work out a pit strategy if you want to do well here.

Elsewhere, the Porsche Cup heads to Autodrome Lago Maggiore’s Full Course for a five-lap run, open to any Porsche at ≤650PP, with 70,000cr for the win. The European FR Challenge 550 takes FR European machinery over four laps of the Eiger Nordwand Reverse for 40,000cr.

The Japanese FF Challenge 450 at Tsukuba is the smallest purse on the schedule at just 7,000cr over two laps. It’s also the fastest way to bank the 100,000cr Credit Ticket for clearing your first event, though, which makes those two laps very much worth your time.
