Under the slogan “Together We Shine Brighter,” the journey begins toward the continent’s largest sporting event, which will bring together thousands of athletes and Para-athletes in the Peruvian capital from July 23 to August 29, 2027.

With one year to go before once again becoming the continent’s gathering place, the Organizing Committee for the XX Pan American Games and VIII Parapan American Games Lima 2027 unveiled the event’s official brand—an emblem that captures the essence of the Peruvian capital and showcases to the world the spirit of a city preparing to write a new chapter in the history of sport.

Lima 2027 logo

“The new identity of Lima 2027 is a very interesting proposal—very attractive, with vibrant colours—that represents the joy, energy, and essence of this wonderful country and all its people,” said Panam Sports President Neven Ilic. “We are just over 400 days away from the start of our Games, and I have no doubt that it will be a great sporting celebration that will unite us once again as a continent. Because, as its motto says, ‘Together we shine brighter.’”

The new visual identity marks one of the most important milestones on the road to the Lima 2027 Games, an event that will bring together more than 8,000 athletes and Para-athletes from 41 countries in the Americas from July 23 to August 29, 2027, and will once again place Peru at the centre of a celebration where sport, excellence, and integration will take center stage.

Inspired by the intimate, welcoming, and vibrant city of Lima, the logo is born from a bold signature. A free, fluid, and dynamic stroke that represents a city that embraces, inspires, and leaves its mark. A signature that encapsulates Lima’s personality and symbolizes the commitment to once again welcome the continent with excellence and warmth.

“This visual identity reflects the essence of a city that inspires us to better ourselves every day and is ready to once again open its doors to the continent. Each stroke represents movement, connection, and the energy of millions of stories that will intersect in Lima 2027,” said Sergio Ludeña, president of the Organizing Committee.

The visual proposal incorporates the colors that bring the Peruvian capital to life. The light blue of the Pacific Ocean and the sky; the green of its cliffs and natural spaces; the metallic gray of a modern, ever-growing city; the orange of popular culture and urban creativity; and the purple that connects with the country’s tradition, history, and identity.

And crowning this design is the sun, which takes refuge in the sea of the only South American capital located on the Pacific Ocean—an element that inspires the Games’ central concept and their official motto: “Together We Shine Brighter.”

Baseball and softball are included in the Lima 2027 sports programme and will be played at the Villa María del Triunfo Sports Complex. The baseball tournament is scheduled for 21-31 July, while the softball competition will take place from 1-7 August.

The venue previously hosted the baseball and softball competitions at the Lima 2019 Pan American Games and the WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup in 2021. Prior to the Games, the softball stadium will welcome the WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup Group Stage in Lima from 14-18 July, featuring world No. 1 Japan, No. 3 Puerto Rico, No. 12 Great Britain, No. 13 Philippines, No. 16 Venezuela and No. 18 Peru.

About the Official Motto

The phrase captures the spirit of a city that celebrates connection and people’s ability to build something greater when they join forces.

Inspired by those sunsets that transform the landscape and bring people together to share a common emotion, the concept recognizes that the true brilliance of the Games comes not only from medals or records, but from the collective strength that arises when athletes, delegations, volunteers, and citizens unite around a shared dream.

The new visual identity also reflects the values that will guide the organization of the Games: the determination of those who challenge their own limits; the passion that drives every training session and competition; the integration of diverse cultures and realities; the joy of bringing together the peoples of the Americas; and the significance of a legacy that will inspire future generations.

More than just an image, the Lima 2027 Visual Identity is a statement of purpose. It is the signature of a city that once again opens its arms to the continent, the expression of a history that continues to be written, and an invitation to be part of Games that will seek to leave an indelible mark both on and off the sports fields.
