Nintendo Direct June 2026 delivered a number of huge announcements, some spectacular surprises, and confirmation that Switch 2 owners have a stacked second half of 2026 to look forward to.
The biggest announcement came at the end, when Nintendo finally confirmed the Ocarina of Time remake. We got only a brief look at Link asleep in his hut, but this tantalizing glimpse at one of the greatest games of all time remade for Nintendo Switch 2 left us thirsty for more information.
But that wasn’t the only big announcement at Nintendo Direct. Kingdom Hearts 4 is finally real, after a surprise showing by Nintendo. There’s no release date, but we do know the game is coming to Switch 2 day as well PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox on PC, Epic Games Store and Steam.
also from Square Enix, Final Fantasy Resonance was a surprise reveal, due out in October. There was a fun Thumb War gameplay segment from Nintendo Switch Sports Resort. Don’t forget the brand new Xenoblade game, called Xenoblade Genesis, coming out in 2027.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake
Nintendo closed out Nintendo Direct with confirmation of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, which is due out at some point in 2026. We got a brief tease showing Link sleeping in his hut. Nintendo promised it will tell us more soon. Can’t wait! Here’s the official blurb: “The Nintendo 64 classic returns for a new generation in 2026, reborn exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2!”

It’s real and it’s finally here! Kingdom Hearts 4 got its big reveal after years of waiting. There’s no release date unfortunately, but we know it’s coming to Nintendo Switch 2. Now that was a big surprise!
Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III]
The complete Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] comes to Nintendo Switch 2 on October 8. You can play the demo for Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind later today.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2
Saber Interactive’s wonderful Warhammer 40,000 action game Space Marine 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch 2! I’m a massive fan of Space Marine 2, and Warhammer 40,000 generally, so it’s cool to see Titus and friends make their way onto a Nintendo console. I’m really interested to see how the console copes with some of Space Marine 2’s more performance-heavy sequences, particularly when there are hundreds of Tyranids on-screen at once. It’s due out this holiday season, publisher Focus Entertainment said.
Minecraft
A dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 version of Minecraft is on the way. Expect better visuals and enhanced lighting and shadow effects. Your Switch worlds carry over. It’s due out at some point this year.
Splatoon Raiders
We got a fresh look at the single-player Splatoon Raiders, due out on July 23. There’s a Splatoon Raiders Direct set for June 30, where we’ll learn much more.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Witchered World
Scout, train and synthesize monsters to discover your new favorite companion in Dragon Quest Monsters: The Witchered World, launching December 3 on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.
The Duskbloods
FromSoftware’s multiplayer action game The Duskbloods showed up, as expected, with news that a closed network test is due out this summer. But we still don’t have a release date, unfortunately. Nintendo is still saying The Duskbloods launches exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.
Final Fantasy Resonance
Final Fantasy Resonance is a brand new HD-2D turn-based RPG from Square Enix due out on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 22, 2026.
Star Fox free demo
Star Fox gets a free demo, today! The full game launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on June 25.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort
Sports are on the way! Nintendo Switch Sports Resort includes a number of minigames, including Thumb Wrestling! It’s due out exclusively on Switch 2 on October 22.
Xenoblade Genesis
Nintendo announced a brand new Xenoblade game! It’s called Xenoblade Genesis, and it’s due out on Switch 2 in 2027.
Xenoblade Chronicles Nintendo Switch 2 Editions
The Xenoblade Chronicles games are each getting a Nintendo Switch 2 edition. Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, and its upgrade pack, are available today. Additionally, the digital Nintendo Switch 2 Editions of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 & Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will be available July 30 and December 3 respectively.
Big Walk
From the creators of Untitled Goose Game comes Big Walk, a cooperative multiplayer adventure about teamwork and talking. Set out with your friends2 through a peaceful and picturesque world full of challenges, puzzles and discoveries. You’ll need to work together to find your way around, stay in contact using an assortment of tools, and figure out new ways to communicate when you suddenly find yourself speechless. Explore at your own pace, hang out, and get lost with your friends! Big Walk launches for Nintendo Switch 2 on August 4.
Devil May Cry 5
Devil May Cry 5 is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on June 23. Jump into Devil May Cry’s signature action at a smooth 60fps in both TV and handheld mode as Nero, Dante, V, and Vergil when Devil May Cry 5 Devil Hunter Edition slashes its way onto Nintendo Switch 2.

Lies of P: Complete Edition launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on August 6.

Lords of the Fallen 2 launches on Nintendo Switch 2 this fall.

Donkey Kong Bananza DLC
Nintendo announced Donkey Kong Bananza DLC, which includes Mario-inspired outfits. For a limited time only on Nintendo Switch 2, you can take on challenges in Donkey Kong Bananza and other select Donkey Kong Nintendo Classics titles via Nintendo Switch Online. Plus, in the Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island & Emerald Rush paid DLC, a limited-time collaboration with Super Mario Bros. is available. This limited-time collaboration event will be held in four waves with the first wave beginning later today.
DELTARUNE Chapter 5

We got a new trailer for Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, and, finally, a release date: September 17. Another September game!
Pokémon Pokopia DLC
Nintendo announced a free update for Pokémon Pokopia in August that adds a new move: Dive. With Dive, you’ll be able to explore the world on the ocean floor and enjoy a life with Pokémon living under the sea. There’s also paid DLC via an expansion pass. The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass paid DLC is available for purchase today. Part 1: Bubbly Basin is planned for release this August.
One Piece: Grand Gourmet
Here’s a surprise announce: One Piece: Grand Gourmet is due out October 23, 2026 on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam, App Store, and Google Play.
Rayman Legends Retold
Ubisoft is bringing Rayman Legends Retold to Nintendo Switch 2 on October 1.
Orbitals
The promising looking two-player co-op adventure Orbitals, is due out exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 3.
Stellar Blade
Stellar Blade is coming to Nintendo Switch 2! Shift Up just announced the sequel at Summer Game Fest, but now we know the first game is due out on Switch 2 at some point in 2026.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is getting an expansion! The surprise announcement at Nintendo Direct revealed Dark Arisen, the same name as the popular expansion for the first game. It’s due out October 9 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. It’s available as a bundle, or as a separate expansion DLC on existing platforms.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword
Onimusha: Way of the Sword is coming to Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo offered a fresh look at the combat in Capcom’s upcoming action game. It’s due out September 25, 2026.
Rhythm Heaven Groove
Nintendo Direct kicked off with a fresh look at Rhythm Heaven Groove, which is due out on Switch on July 2, 2026. There are over 80 new rhythm games included, as well as plenty to unluck. Up to four players can play in over 30 multiplayer games.
