MOUNT VERNON, Texas (KLTV) – The American Legion Post 343 in Mount Vernon is inviting East Texans out for games, karaoke, and a bike ride next weekend.
The American Legion works to support several community organizations, including the Veterans and Children’s Foundation, which provides scholarships for military children and resource training for veterans.
The event begins Friday at 2 p.m. with an open kitchen, followed by shuffleboard, pool tables and karaoke at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday morning breakfast will be served and the hour and half bike ride to Jefferson will begin.
There, riders can explore antique shops and local restaurants before beginning the trip back.
An auction will then take place including a quilt made of Harley Davidson t-shirts.
Sunday, bikers will have a chance to get their bikes blessed by a chaplain.
