Hello. As the title says, I have this strange issue where my PC only crashes during cold boots after being powered off for at least 3 or 4 hours. This is not reproducible on demand, but it usually happens every 5 to 7 days. What catches my attention is that despite getting memory related error codes such as "System_Service_Exception", "System_Thread_Exception_Not_Handled", "Memory_Management", and "Page_Fault_In_Nonpaged_Area", my memory seems to be perfectly fine as far as I understand. I already ran MemTest86+ overnight, completed 10 cycles of TestMem5 using the Absolut configuration which is around 5 or 6 hours, and also ran the OCCT CPU + RAM test. None of them gave me any errors or indication that something could be wrong. Below I will list everything I have tried in case someone has an idea of something else I could test.
Memory Tests: OCCT CPU + RAM, TestMem5 Absolut config, MemTest86+.
Global Tests: OCCT Power and VRAM + GPU, FurMark, Unigine Superposition, Time Spy and Nomad, Cinebench 2026 and R23. In all of these tests I got average scores or scores around 150 to 200 points below average, which as far as I know is normal.
Other things I tried: reinstalling Windows 3 times using different versions, reinstalling chipset drivers multiple times using both older and current versions, reinstalling audio and ethernet drivers. Right now I am testing an older Ethernet driver version in hopes of fixing it since every previous attempt used the same one. I also performed a clean install of my GPU drivers, disabled Memory Context Restore, switched BIOS versions both to older ones and to the latest available for my motherboard, checked the health of both my main and secondary drives using SMART tests and Samsung Magician, disabled Fast Boot in both Windows and BIOS, and around this same time I also changed my GPU.
System:
GPU: RTX 4070 Super
CPU: Ryzen 5 7600
Memory: 16 GB x 2 DDR5 5600 MT/s
MOBO: B840M DS3H
PSU: Gigabyte Ultra Durable 1000W 80+ Gold
Things I will try over the next few days: Prime95 Large FFT, since it is supposed to test the CPU IMC, and maybe that is what is failing, although honestly at this point I am just grasping at straws.
