South Korean game developer Pearl Abyss has recorded its highest ever quarterly revenue thanks to Crimson Desert. According to the company’s financial results for Q1 (reported by ThisIsGame), the open-world adventure game alone has earned 266.5 billion won (around $178.92 million USD) in revenue since its release mid-March.

Consequently, Pearl Abyss saw pretty crazy looking growth figures, with annual revenue up by 419.8% and operating profit rising by 2,584.8% year-on-year.

A more detailed breakdown of Crimson Desert’s performance reveals that overseas sales account for 94% of the title’s revenue. Of this, North America and Europe accounted for 81%, driving the game’s global success. As for platforms, the studio reports that the revenue breakdown between PC and consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X❘S) is roughly fifty-fifty.
