Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is set to release on August 6, 2026. Thus far, the characters revealed are Captain America, Iron Man, Dr. Doom, Storm, Ghost Rider, Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord, Wolverine, Danger, Magik, Peni Parker, Hulk and Black Panther (Shuri).
There are only six characters that have yet to be revealed for the base roster, and four more DLC characters already confirmed for Season 1 of post-launch content. Within fighting games, it can be argued that each fighter’s appearance is sometimes just as important as the characters themselves.
As such, those that acquire the Ultimate Edition of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls will be treated with special costumes for Spider-Man, Storm, Iron Man, Captain America and Dr. Doom.
While Dr. Doom’s costume appears to be an exclusive to Marvel Tokon, other costumes showcased thus far appear to be references to past appearances. Iron Man’s costume is clearly no exception.
The character known as Iron Man made his debut appearance in the comic titled “Tales of Suspense 39: Iron Man Is Born!” Within this story, Iron Man builds the heavy, gray iron suit (the one Tony Stark builds in the cave in the first Iron Man movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe).
Eventually, Tony Stark refines the armor and creates a more compact suit. Needless to say, the classic costume for Iron Man in Marvel Tokon features the classic red-and-gold early depiction for the character.
