I was so excited to receive my MSI MEG Z890 Godlike today, my case also arrived alongside the PSU unit. Upon opening it I noticed that the Ez-link bridge was not sitting magnetised on the board correctly. I removed it, the required heat sinks and the protective I/O motherboard cover and started securing the motherboard to the standoffs. I then plugged in my required case connectors to the Ez-link and then place back on the motherboard. For the life of me it would just not pull itself into place with the magnets. So I grabbed a torch and my heart sank. The easy link connector on the motherboard has been hit from the side before steel cover had been put on during manufacturing. There is no damage on the Ez-link bridge so it hasn’t been damaged by forcing the Ez-link down. Mother board has since been re-boxed and I will ring my supplier for warranty information and send it back hopefully for an exchange.
