Requiem and Tempus got to see what lies ahead (or depending on your belief about the time travel, what LIED ahead before interventions) for the requiem crew. Not only did they see them dead in a basement(fucking awesome to finally see btw), but they also see the moment Ava is pulled through the mirror in MWZ. Requiem actually seemed defiant about their fate (weaver tells the warden to say it to his face essentially, carver says ‘if we die in a basement that means we at least kicked your ass’”), while Tempus mostly felt sad except for Richtofen.
What if the roles reverse on the next map, and Requiem and Tempus see the forest from Tag? And the pile of bodies left. This would not only be a crazy callback, but would finally reveal to our new variants of Tempus what their alternate counterparts were really.
It’s already been teased to Tempus in paradox junction intel about their alternate selves. The Twins talk to all of them and mention how there was a “Great War”. I think after Totenreich, now would be an awesome time to pull the curtain back and show Tempus what the other versions of them were all about. Plus, it’d show requiem “oh shit, these 4 aren’t just random ass people”
Lastly, it’d be great because we’d still have one last map for the characters to digest this info. It’d be great going into DLC 5 to see Tempus discuss the revelations that they lowkey created the dark aether as we know it(well at least Nikolai). Maybe it’d even spawn a change in Richtofen somehow! (Doubt, he’s deplorable)
