This also reveals Ingrid will begin each match with one Sun Crest stocked and may have extra animations depending on her costume

Ingrid is now slightly less than a month away from releasing in Street Fighter 6, and now we have some more looks at how the cosmic being is going to act in the game.
Capcom just dropped a new short video for Ingrid showing off her character select screen and Game Face Feature animations.
As per usual with the new DLC characters, the developers are showcasing what it looks like to get into a match with Ingrid, but she’s also different from other Street Fighter warriors at the same time.
Ingrid can be seen floating nonchalantly on the character select screen, however, it’s apparently not the real girl since Ingrid walks into the screen when chosen and turns her other self into her Monoid — and won’t show which costume she’s wearing until she walks onto the scene.
The mysterious magical girl dances around as she walks out to the stage where the game lists her at just 5 feet tall and only 86 lbs.
Another point of interest here is her Versus screen face animations since by our count, they show off five different ones here.
This could imply that Ingrid has a different animation available depending on which costume she’s using that I don’t believe we’ve seen for other characters before.
As pointed out by LeonX, the Japanese version of the video includes an additional face animation for her Outfit 2, so that makes six in total at least.
Like we learned in Ingrid’s movelist details, she has a Sun Crest mechanic to use and power up a number of her attacks, and at the end it appears to reveal she’ll start each match with one of them already stocked.
We should be learning more about how the new DLC character actually plays very soon considering Ingrid is going to have a playable demo at Evo Japan 2026 this weekend.
Capcom also recently released Ingrid’s full magical girl battle theme complete with Japanese idol vocals and all.
Ingrid is scheduled to launch on May 28, 2026 though it has yet to be confirmed if she’s bringing more balance changes along with her.
You can check out Ingrid’s character select and Versus face animations below in the video and gallery.
