The first FNCS of the year is nearly here. After taking an extended break to have a whole season with pretty much nothing happening, Grands are starting back up again. But how do the FNCS Major 1 2026 results look?

In the two major regions, we’ve already seen big upsets. Duos dropping on each other to try and chase them out of the tournament. Not to mention major Fortnite players failing to qualify in EU. Things have been shocking and it looks like the FNCS results can’t be easily predicted this time around.
We’re likely to see a few upsets in the FNCS Major 1 results. This is what’s happened so far and the FNCS Major 1 2026 Results:

NAC
The next biggest region for Fortnite results is the North America Central region. The more competitive of the two NA regions, it’s here where some of the best known Fortnite players are competing. Peterbot and Pollo look set to make their mark on the FNCS Major 1 results. But we’ll also see major Duos trying to get their first FNCS win.
Even an hour before these results started coming through, things were changing. We saw Bugha disqualified just an hour before the tournament started.

EU Results
The biggest Fortnite region for esports right now is EU. This is where the Global Champions of our last year hailed from. Although, two of those Global Champions completely failed to qualify for grands this year. The EU is going to get quite a few slots at the LAN from the FNCS results, not to mention its own prize pool. These are the FNCS Major 1 2026 results so far:

Format
Those are the FNCS results, but there’s not many of them yet. How will the tournament actually take place? The event is being played in the same format as most FNCS events in the past. There will be two days of competition, with six games per day. Teams get points for placement and kills. at the end, the top-ranking team wins.
There are some extra concerns compared to normal Fortnite esports too. While most of the best Fortnite weapons are still here, the loot pool is different. We’ll also see the Siphon rule in effect, where you get health or shield for each kill.
There’s another change for the FNCS Major 1 2026 results. Players took the Storm Surge rule to ridiculous lengths last year, with teams trading damage on each other to inflate their surge numbers. But without actually getting any elims. That’s being fixed this year. or at least they’re trying. Trams now have damage they take removed from the Surge counter. Surge numbers are lower, but it is still an actor.
This should all eliminate the tower trading we saw dominate FNCS 2025. But teams will likely figure out the best strategies for this new meta eventually. Surge remains a problem without a clear solution from a format point of view.

Teams Disqualified at Last Minute
Just hours ahead of the FNCS Major 1 2026 results starting to come in, we saw a number of major teams disqualified from the game. In a move that’s shocked players and fans.
The day before the finals started, Epic announced a number of disqualifications. This is because players broke a rule bey using third-party software. The software was able to calculate the best drop for the bus route for players automatically. It also counted up Surge and other overlays. it’s software that players thought was safe, but a recent update meant it started messing with the game’s files and violating rules.
Some players have accused Epic of playing favoritism with these disqualifications. Other players utilised the tool without getting disqualified. However, it seems the other players used it in a Performance Eval Cup, and the current bans did it in the FNCS. They all got a warning and disqualified from the tournament it happened in, just some players used it in a more important tournament than others. We can’t expect to see those players on the FNCS results this season though.
