I randomly got hit with nostalgia for Hexic HD and now I kinda want to play something like it again.
The whole rotating hexes mechanic and setting up big chain reactions just felt super satisfying. It’s weird because there are a ton of match-3 games out there, but almost none of them hit that same feel.
I’ve tried searching around, but most suggestions are either just standard match-3s or don’t really have that same type of gameplay.
Are there any modern PC games that actually come close to that style?
I did find a demo for an upcoming similar style game called Hexara which seems pretty similar so far, but curious if there are other good ones I might be missing.
Steam would be best for me if there are others you recommend.
