It’s been over two years since Tekken 8 was released on January 26, 2024. With the beginning of the third season announced, we’re set to receive Kunimitsu, Bob, Roger Jr. and a fourth unnamed challenger by the end of the year.
A notable competitor, yOReDz, has apparently been spending a great deal of time grinding match ups in ranked online sets. For a long time now, he’s been the highest ranked player on the in-game leaderboard.
It’s also worth mentioning that yOReDz was able to achieve 13th at Evo Japan 2025, 17th at the Esports World Cup 2025 and 13th at the Tekken World Tour 2025 Finals events. Throughout all of this, he’s been playing as Ling Xiaoyu.
According to TKNOW, yOReDz has become the first player to reach the God of Destruction 7 rank online. The only milestone that has yet to be reached now is the God of Destruction Infinity rank.
Reaching God of Destruction 7 requires that a player accumulates 400,000 or more points. To get to Rank of Destruction Infinity, 430,000 points are required.
Of course, it’s worth highlighting that the point requisites have been lowered since Season 2. Regardless, this is quite the accomplishment for yOReDz.
