Hi everyone,

I’m writing this to warn the community about PirateSwap and their predatory practices regarding bot errors and failed trades.

The Situation:

I traded my own skins for a Skeleton Knife | Vanilla. The trade was accepted by the site, and my items were taken. The knife had a trade lock, so I waited.

When the lock ended, the item disappeared. Support admitted that the "previous owner used Steam Trade Protection," and the item was removed from their inventory. Basically, they sold me an item they didn't actually have secured.

The "Scammy" Resolution:

Instead of giving me the item I paid for or enough balance to buy the same knife again, they gave me a "refund" of my original deposit value (1605 PLN).

However, the price of the Skeleton Vanilla on their site has since risen to 1670 PLN. When I pointed this out, support told me to "add a small amount" of my own money to cover the difference.

They are literally asking me to pay an extra ~$20 to fix an error caused by their own bot system.

The Proof:

I have documented the entire conversation and the transaction history here:

Conclusion:

I’ve escalated this to their "Senior Team," but they keep hiding behind "system policies," claiming they cannot manually adjust the balance. It’s not about the $16 anymore; it’s about the fact that this site forces customers to take the financial hit for their technical failures.

TL;DR: PirateSwap sells items they don't control. If the bot fails, they hold your money hostage and demand you pay more to get your item back. Use at your own risk.
