WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

Montréal took the most recent matchup, 4-1, after Seattle won the first game in December by a 2-1 score. The Victoire (19.7%) and the Torrent (15.2%) rank second and fourth in power-play efficiency but are a combined 0-for-12 in the season series. Seattle will need to earn a combined point total in its next two games that is two or more points higher than what Ottawa earns in tomorrow’s game to stay in playoff contention.

Seattle has lost all 10 of its true road games this season, excluding games in Takeover Tour markets (0-0-2-8). It is double any other losing streak by any PWHL team in regular season history. The Torrent rank seventh with a goals-per-game average of 1.92 and have scored one or fewer goals in six of their last seven games.

Alex Carpenter scored the lone goal for the Torrent in their defeat against the Sirens on Saturday, her 10th of the season, and also added a goal in the shootout. She is one of two PWHL players with at least 10 goals in each of the last two seasons, along with Kendall Coyne Schofield, and one of five players with 60 career points. Her next goal will be the 30th of her career and one of two players (Daryl Watts) with at least 30 goals and 30 assists all-time. The Torrent alternate captain has her team’s opening goal in both games of the season series.

Danielle Serdachny picked up an assist on Saturday and has eight points in her last 10 games since the Olympic break (2G, 6A), including an assist against Montréal on Mar. 19.

Theresa Schafzahl has four points in five games since joining Seattle via trade on Mar. 16 (1G, 3A). One of those points was an assist in her Torrent debut against the Victoire on Mar. 19.

Mikyla Grant-Mentis will play her first game against the Victoire at Place Bell this season after missing the Mar. 19 game while on LTIR with an upper-body injury. She played 37 games over parts of two seasons with Montréal and scored five goals and five assists.

Hannah Murphy has played both games of the season series for Seattle with a 2.02 GAA and .933 SV%. Corinne Schroeder has started the team’s last four games with a 1.71 GAA and .946 SV% in that stretch. The Torrent are the only team in the PWHL without a shutout victory.

The Victoire have won each of their last four games by multiple goals, including a 3-0 win over the Charge on Friday. It is tied for Montreal’s longest streak all-time, along with a four game run from Jan. 24 to Mar. 1, 2026. Their 12 multi-goal wins leads the league, while Seattle has the fewest with three.

Montréal ranks first on home ice and a win tonight would make them the first in league history to win 10 games at a single venue in a single regular season (8-1-1-0 at Place Bell). The Victoire have points in 13 straight games (9-2-2-0) dating back to Jan. 21. A win tonight would give them a new team record, surpassing the 53 points they earned in 2024-25.

The Victoire posted consecutive shutouts for the first time in team history, backstopped by Sandra Abstreiter on Friday and Ann-Renée Desbiens last Wednesday. Desbiens has two shutouts in her current three-game win streak and has played both games against Seattle with a 1.52 GAA and .938 SV%.

Kaitlin Willoughby had her first two career PWHL goals come on Friday against Ottawa after having zero through 83 career games (including playoffs). She became the 15th different Montréal player to score multiple goals this season, the most by any PWHL team in a single campaign all-time.

Laura Stacey had three shots on goal against the Charge, bringing her season total to 102. She has 310 regular-season career shots on goal, 64 more than any other PWHL player (Hilary Knight – 246). The Victoire alternate captain is currently riding a three-game point streak (1G, 3A) and five-game streak at Place Bell (3G, 5A), including a three-point performance against Seattle on Mar. 19 (2G, 1A). She is one point away from 60 for her career and consecutive 20-point campaigns.

Abby Roque scored on the power play Friday to snap a three-game pointless drought and season-high five-game goalless streak. She is one point shy of 50 for her career and has three points in the season series (1G, 2A).

Following Monday’s practice at Verdun Auditorium, the Victoire hosted youths from the U11, U13 and U15 categories. They took part in on-ice sessions with Desbiens, Erin Ambrose, Hayley Scamurra, Maggie Flaherty and Megan Warrener, as well as assistant coach Alex-André Perron.

WHAT THEY’RE SAYING

“I’m looking forward to being back in Montréal to play at Place Bell. This is a special arena with amazing fans and it’s exciting to return and play in front of them again. There is a lot of energy coming out of the MSG game and we’re ready to bring that into tonight.” – Torrent forward Mikyla Grant-Mentis

“We need to continue to break up our game into small sections and segments. If you start the game by saying you want to play 60 minutes, you’re really focusing on the outcome. So how do we get the outcome by focusing on the process? That’s really by dividing up the game into smaller parts. I think that we’re best when we use our speed, use our IQ play behind people, so establishing a forecheck is important early. If we don’t do that, then we start to play on our heels a little bit, and then we are forced to break out a little bit more. So, I would love for us to just stick to our game plan from the drop of the puck, establish our game at the beginning of the game.” – Victoire Head Coach Kori Cheverie

TUESDAY’S GAME: It’s the 100th game of the PWHL season and the Victoire welcome the Torrent to Place Bell for the second time in 20 days and for the third of four head-to-head meetings before the season series wraps up in Seattle on April 25, the final day of the 2025-26 regular season. The first 6,000 fans through the doors tonight will receive a Laura Stacey Bobblehead, while quantities last. Aveeno Canada, the Official Body Care Partner of the PWHL, will have a kiosk behind Sections 113-114 where fans will have the opportunity to pick up product samples. The national anthems will be performed tonight by the Poly Jeunesse string orchestra directed by Jessica Pepper.
