Welcome back to another roundup of MMOs and MMO-adjacent multiplayer games you’ve never heard of! Yep, we’re back! And this time we made sure to keep our dirty boots in the mud room. Your freshly mopped floors are safe. This time.

Phantom Line

Would you like to fight spooky things with ballistic firepower? Then you might dig Phantom Line, an in-development co-op shooter from Antistatic Studios that pits up to four players together in a PvE exploration of an open world map with the objective of finding and containing anomalies… by shooting them very hard. The game held a playtest at the top of the month and is angling for early access sometime soon.

Idle Clans

Technically speaking, this next one isn’t new, particularly since it just recently celebrated its third anniversary: It’s Idle Clans, a PC and mobile multiplayer idle game that looks to “provide the classic MMORPG experience in a casual, easy to digest and far less time-consuming manner.” The game has recently put out a new expansion that adds a new skill and adjusts several existing skills.

Dragon Awaken

No, that isn’t the name of a henshin transformation shout or a LARP spell; Dragon Awaken is a still-operating “semi-turn based heroic fantasy MMORPG” developed by R2Games that released back in 2017 and was handed over to its current steward Games Hollywood. Despite the fact that it’s still playable right now, one fan is working on archiving the game in the interest of preservation, albeit with some noted difficulty, which he explains is spurred on by its shutdown in Brazil. We wish this person luck.
