The LMDh machine for the Hypercar class is Hyundai’s entrant into the FIA World Endurance Championship for 2026, and it’s free for Le Mans Ultimate.

Le Mans Ultimate adds surprise, free, Genesis Hypercar

The Genesis GMR-001 LMDh race car has been added to Le Mans Ultimate for free, in a surprise expansion to the simulation’s Version 1.3 update.

2026 will see the Korean luxury brand – an offshoot of Hyundai – take to the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the FIA World Endurance Championship for the first time.

It will enter two of the machines in the premier Hypercar class this season, with the #17 initially represented in the game. The sibmling #19 car and paint scheme will follow “in a future patch” according to publisher Motorsport Games.

This particular entrant will be driven by Luis Felipe ‘Pipo’ Derani, Mathys Jaubert and André Lotterer.

It’s a significant, factory-backed effort, with Anouck Abadie as Team Manager, touring car legend Gabriele Tarquini as Sporting Director and sitting under Cyril Abiteboul as Principal of Hyundai Motorsport.

The virtual version was unveiled at the same time as the real-world car’s livery, which will include the Le Mans Ultimate logo for all races.

It marks the first of the 2026-season specification cars for the sim racing platform. Genesis is the only new entrant this time; however, Toyota, Peugeot, Alpine and BMW all have visual upgrades, while there are several ‘evo’ spec LMGT3 updates.

The game update releases today, 31st March, and includes rewritten menus, quicker loading times and Logitech Trueforce wheel support, alongside revised Balance of Performance parameters. The final European Le Mans Series DLC has also been released, with the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and Duqueine D09 LMP3, both of which we have reviewed.
