Hi! This is one of many posts I plan to do recreating some of my favorite CS Skins (and eventually expanding to other games too?). I wanted to start off with my #1 AWP skin, the AWP | BOOM.

For some context, this is something I’ve been wanting do for like 10+ years since I first started playing CS as a kid. Unfortunately I never was able to afford it due to my age and lack of income but as I’ve grown up, things have changed 🙂

How did I make it?

1) I first pulled the texture file from pak01 from legacy CS:GO, vectorized it, and re colored it to fit that of the AWP BOOM (the texture files are colored all wacky when you extract them.

2) Measured the length of the airsoft AWP and used that measurement to estimate the scale of the texture file on the ingame AWP to what it’d be on the airsoft equivalent.

3) A custom vinyl printing company accepted my design and printed me the texture repeating at the proper scale (BOOM! text around 4.75 to 5 inches on average)

3) Since the airsoft awp I bought wasn’t black off rip, I spraypainted it black and sanded it.

4) Wait for the wrap to arrive

5) cut the wrap to fit the specs of the airsoft awp’s top bottom left and right sides, adding an extra inch or two to allow room for error.

6) apply wrap

7) BOOM!

I’m no expert when it comes to wrapping, as this is actually my first time, but I’m proud of the result and can’t wait to work on some more projects like this.

Anyways, just wanted to share. Thanks!
