The Japanese version of War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius will end service on May 28, publisher Square Enix and developer gumi announced.
War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius first launched for iOS and Android on November 14, 2019 in Japan, followed by March 25, 2020 worldwide. The global version ended service on May 30, 2025.
In a note from the development team, producer Watanabe said an “offline version” of the game was considered to preserve the experience, but was deemed too difficult to properly recreate because it relies heavily on online battles, guild content, and player interaction. However, Square Enix is actively preparing special videos to revisit the story, as well as a memorial book.
In-game events will continue be updated until the end of service. A special website for the game’s grand finale roadmap is available here.
