A number of announcements were dropped during the Arc World Tour 2025-2026 Finals. For Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, “Season 2.60” was revealed.
This seems to indicate that fans won’t be getting a full Season 3 of content for Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising. Additionally, this is likely the final hurrah for the fighting game.
Season 2.60 is confirmed to be including a new DLC character, new stage, new system mechanic, adjustments to currently existing system mechanics, character rebalancing, a new costume and more.
Based on the silhouette, it is widely believed that the new DLC character is slated to be Id. It’s interesting to note that this particular character hails from a Granblue Fantasy spinoff, just like Granblue Fantasy Versus.
Id is a character that appears in Granblue Fantasy Relink. He is known for being able to shift between a human form and a draconic one.
It’s worth highlighting that the expansion “Granblue Fantasy Relink — Endless Ragnarok” is set to be released on July 9, 2026. As such, it feels like Id could be getting added to Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising in order to cross promote the upcoming expansion.
More details about Season 2.60 are slated to be revealed at a future date. We’ll just have to wait until then for more information.
