I've recently disabling my CPU Turbo Boost through Throttlestop as I was noticing high CPU temperatures when playing World of Warcraft.
CPU Usage : 10-20 %
CPU Temp : 70-85 C
After disabling the turbo boost, I'm at a comfortable 55-65 C when gaming (same settings, same 120fps cap, same GPU usage)
I tried reducing PL1 / PL2 but seems like they have no affect on my CPU/computer.
My question is : Is there any drawback to what I am doing? is there a better way to undervolt/change settings? To my understanding the I9 – 13900H on my laptop is locked.
Laptop : Asus Zenbook 16X OLED
CPU : I9 – 13900H
GPU : RTX 4070 Laptop
