I was getting really tired of AI junk being forced into normal browsing – AI overviews in Google search, AI content on YouTube, social media, and random AI features shoved into sites where I just want the normal experience.
So I built a browser extension called AI Content Shield to clean that stuff up more like an ad blocker.
The general features include:
- Block AI-generated videos, shorts, music, and summaries on YouTube & TikTok
- Hide AI Overviews, AI features, and images from AI sites on Google, Bing & DuckDuckGo
- Block AI content & features on X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Pinterest
- Remove AI-related posts and articles across the web
It also has a feature to block AI-related posts on Reddit, if you don't like to read about AI here at all 🙂 I'm also thinking about adding the ability to block AI answers on Reddit, do you think it would be a good idea?
All features mentioned above are free, and additional PRO features are also available.
Works on Chrome, Firefox, and Edge.

Built it mainly because I wanted the web to feel a bit more normal again.
Curious whether other people here would actually want something like this, or if I’m just unusually annoyed by all the AI stuff.
