You guys love 3D printers and… old laser printers, right? Here's a good one.
$13.49 for a fully working HP LaserJet 4100N?! Tested it at Savers and printed out a configuration page… it still worked. So I took it home and gave it a good cleaning. It has an HP JetDirect card too.
My uncle gave me an HP LaserJet 4000 a few years ago and it resides at my parent's place. Now I have nearly the same printer… at my home.
Networked with Windows 2000… and Windows 11 lmao. Running Windows 95 in VMWare from my main PC gives access to the ol' JetDirect website where you can view and change settings. It runs off an ancient version of Java [remember Java applets?!]. Kinda cool how it just runs off a host machine and you can still access the printer's JetDirect card from the VM.
Here's to many more years of printing.
