






Hi everyone! I’m Sam.
Along with my friends Baptiste and Maxime, we set ourselves a crazy challenge 5 years ago: to transpose the pure adrenaline of Apex Legends to the tabletop, all wrapped in an Arcane/Cyberpunk-inspired aesthetic.
That’s how Rivals was born.
This project is our passion. We’ve spent 5 years perfecting every mechanic. On the visual side, Baptiste created every illustration, giving the game a unique visual identity, set in a technological dystopia where the arena itself becomes a deadly trap for players.
What makes the Rivals experience unique?
- Visceral Intensity: We wanted to capture that raw "life-or-death" feeling. The tech is gritty, the combat is brutal, and every decision could be your last.
- Tactics & Survival: A blend of deck-building and survival where you play as your clan’s champion (your Ashak) in an ever-shrinking arena.
- The "One More Game" Factor: We designed the game to be fast-paced and aggressive, making you want to jump back into the arena the moment the match ends.
