Growing up my friends and I put absolutely insane hours on the original Baulder's Gate Dark Alliance 1 + 2. The first game was a classic and the sequel despite some issues and repetiviness built on the great foundation of the first game and included special class quests for each character that helped deepen their lore and made the character choices even more fun.
What's worse about all this is that the end of DA2 see's a cliffhanger ending where a egyptian-esque God is ready his sail barge to depart for Baulders Gate lending to the idea that a end to the triology was planned but did not happen.
From what I recall the studio shut down and a third game never materialized but by God it would be amazing if we saw a BG3 somewhere in the future!
