- First person recoil screenshake
CS:GO's shake feels strong enough to provide visual feedback to full auto shooting, while not being obnoxious or distracting. In contrast, CS2's shake feels over the top and can be dizzying after an extended play. CS:GO vs CS2 sprays comparison
- Blood visibility
CS:GO had very vibrant and dense blood puffs, making it easy to recognize how many successful shots you've landed in a fight, even at longer ranges or in poorly lit areas. Here's a great post on potential blood visual improvements for CS2. CS:GO also had blood splashes for headshots against a helmet.
- Kill confirmed sound effect
This is more of a personal preference, but I would love an option in audio settings to disable the bass-y "THUMP" sound after getting a kill, at least in Deathmatch
- Third person counter-strafe animations
I agree with everything this post demonstrates. Counter-strafing needs to be better telegraphed
These are my two cents. I would encourage people to add to the discussion, but also to elaborate on what they feel is wrong with CS2 in comparison to CS:GO, instead of simply saying "<thing> in CSGO is so much better" or "remove Subtick". There needs to be detailed feedback that developers can act upon, preferably with data or visual examples.
