This is an appreciation post for a classic drink, a powerful potable perk, a necessary refreshment; at least in terms of COD zombies lol
this post is for none other than, drum roll please! 🥁
Double Tap root beer!
Giving your weapons a whooping 30% increase in fire rate in BO1, and an additional bullet to every round dispersed from your weapon in BO2, and BO3!
The perk wasn't featured in Vanguard zombies nor Cold war Zombies but it was brought back in BO6, lacking the additional bullet added to every round dispersed from your weapon. BO7 had the same version of double tap as BO6 as well.
The perk is awesome in BO1, BO6 & BO7, like, who wouldn't want a faster rate of fire on their weapons!?
however, in BO2, and BO3, *chefs kiss* it can turn any Pea shooter into a legit zombie killer.
In BO3 the L-Car can carry you to about round 15 or so with double tap, no kidding!
I'm not sure why they took away the additional bullet which was dispersed from a single round, but this is always a great perk regardless of what game it seems to be on. I actually find myself going for double tap first before Jug these days, it's just a fun perk to have on at all times!
The benefits of the perk vary per game, and I hope they eventually bring back the Double Bullet effect
