Penn State women’s hockey had a successful two-game series against Syracuse at Pegula Ice Arena. With two wins, it gained a chance to compete for the conference title against Mercyhurst on Saturday, March 7.
As always, our photographers were at both games in the series, capturing the showing of both teams over the weekend.
Friday, February 27
Our photographers captured a strong showing by the Nittany Lions, as they welcomed the Syracuse Orange to Happy Valley.



After constant attacks by the offense, led by Olympic gold medalist Tessa Janecke, Penn State won the game with a dominant 7-0 showing.

Saturday, February 28
The Nittany Lions had a hard-fought battle against Syracuse on Saturday. The game was not as easy as Friday, with the Syracuse defense bringing a hard fight.
The Nittany Lions, however, continued their success. With a dominant offense and outshooting Syracuse, they took the second game 2-1, returning to the conference championship for the fourth consecutive time.
