The Introducing: Traxus contract in Marathon is one of the first tricky ones you’ll encounter. Here’s how to complete it.
Unlocking Factions is incredibly important in Marathon, so you’ll want to complete their keyed Contracts like Introducing: Traxus as soon as possible. However, Introducing: Traxus is one of the tougher Faction unlock Contracts, so we’ll show you how to do it here.
How to complete the Introducing: Traxus Faction Contract in Marathon

You need to complete all three steps of Introducing: Traxus in a single run, and progress resets completely if you fail.

The first step is the easiest: go to Dire Marsh and visit either Intersection, Complex, or Bio-Research and interface with a computer there.
From there, you need to defeat a UESC Commander bot that spawns as soon as you hack the computer, then scan a set of nearby white shipping containers.

The computer you need to hack will be marked on your HUD when you’re within about 10 meters of it. You’ll know it by the bright UESC logo on the screen. Approach and interact with it to complete the first step.

Shortly after you finish the hack, a UESC carrier ship will arrive and drop off the Commander and several Recruit bots. The Commander comes equipped with a shield and a large chunk of health.
I recommend going to Bio-Research for the computer hack step, as there is plenty of good cover to keep you safe from the UESC Commander and its support drones.

The Commander will drop a UESC Shipping Manifest keycard once destroyed. Pick it up and navigate to the nearby shipping containers marked on your HUD.

You might need to do some light platforming to reach the scan location. Beware, you only have three minutes to complete this step.

The scan takes about ten seconds to complete, and the timer doesn’t stop while you’re scanning, so keep that in mind.
Provided you complete all three of these steps in a single run, you’ll complete Introducing: Traxus. You meet the Traxus representative after you turn in the Contract and interact with their card in the Factions screen.
