It’s been nearly 24 years since Soul Calibur 2 was released. Though there have been many iterations that came after it, many fans still see the second entry as the best of the series.
As it turns out, there’s a newly wed couple that seemingly believe this to be so. During their big day, they decided to sit down at some arcade cabinets and compete against one another in Soul Calibur 2.
The groom and bride appear to both have an affinity to Mitsurugi. They engage in an epic mirror match during the wedding ceremony.
Watching the two play, it’s clear that the two players have quite a bit of practice in Soul Calibur 2. It’s usually pretty obvious when an inexperienced player sits down to wield an arcade stick since it’s common to see a lot of mashing.
However, both the bride and groom seem to be implementing inputs in a precise manner. Evidently, this was something that the two must’ve wanted together, and wasn’t just something the groom insisted on.
We have to imagine that there will be many matches like this throughout their lifetime partnership.
