I am currently working on my research paper about the impact of microtransactions on the purchasing behavior of teenagers and adults.
As gamers, we see these mechanics everywhere—from Battle Passes in shooters to Gacha mechanics and "Pay-to-Win" elements in MMOs. I want to find out what actually drives us to spend money (or stay F2P). Especially in a scientific perspective.
The survey covers things like:
How much you spend monthly/annually.
Whether you prefer cosmetics (skins) or gameplay advantages.
Your personal intention behind purchases (e.g., saving time vs. just for fun).
Your own assessment of your spending habits.
