A prime example of why you don’t come to met for betting advice: There is no German sweep, as the Switzerland 4-man sled, piloted by Michael Vogt, medals for the first time since the 2006 Games, winning a bronze. Incredible.

Germany wins gold and silver. German pilot Johannas Lochner wins gold in both 4-man and 2-man. It gets even more impressive when you realize that one of his push athletes, Thorsten Margis, has just won his fifth gold medal.

As for the Americans, Kris Horn finishes 11th and Frankie Del Duca is right behind him at 12th. Disappointing for neither to be in the Top 10, but it’s the best finish of the season for Del Duca in 4-man, and he can feel good about that.

And that’s all from the Cortina Sliding Center!
