Intel Core i7-14700F processor
This is one of the best CPUs you can get from a price-to-performance perspective. It features 20 cores and 28 threads, which makes it a good option for multitasking, a wide range of creative workflows, and streaming. It features a big boost clock speed of 5.4GHz and 33MB L3 cache, which is ideal for 1440p and also good for 4K gaming, which is what the RTX 5070 targets. Check out our review for more details.
RTX 5070 graphics card
The RTX 5070 is around 15% to 20% faster than the RTX 4070 in terms of raw performance, and it’s one of the best mid-range graphics cards for primarily 1440p gaming, but it can handle 4K with a few tweaks and the use of MFG. It features the latest GDDR7 memory, opting for 12GB, and packs 4th-gen ray tracing cores alongside 5th-gen tensor cores for a significant boost to its AI capabilities. For content creation, video editing, and rendering, it’s a good pick, but its 12GB of VRAM may be a limiter with more complex 3D scenes or textures. Storage and RAM
You’ve got 32GB of DDR5 RAM here, which is great as it’ll help improve gameplay in open-world or heavily modded titles, alongside reducing lag in more demanding creative applications. Curiously, there’s a rather modest-sized SSD, though, coming in at 1TB. That’s fine if you’re playing a handful of games on rotation, but you may need the occasional storage management from time to time.
Things to consider
This is seriously pricey for an RTX 5070 gaming PC, and especially one with a small SSD and an older CPU, so it’s worth shopping around if you’re looking to save some cash. The big thing here is that this build comes stuffed with Corsair’s own products, and it’s well known for having some of the best on the market when it comes to quality and design. But, if you were to look around the $1,800 mark, it would be easy to find something equally as good in many respects, especially if you look at Skytech, iBuyPower, or even MSI, which does some surprisingly affordable, great-looking prebuilds, too.
